Ever since the creation of the D1VS smart contract, Function Island has had the Pricefloor contract running, to ensure there will always be a price and value for D1VS. Today, that functionality is boosted, in the form of a new contract called “Floodmaker”!
This contract is particularly special, because it carries the functionality to handle TRX directly — something which the current Pricefloor contract is not able to do. What this means is, if anyone or a contract wanted to send TRX to the Floodmaker, they can!
Now, there isn’t any special reward or anything for contributing TRX to the Floodmaker contract — so why is this so special? Well, it means that if Function Island dapps, games or contracts take TRX fees, it would be possible to send them to the Floodmaker to buy D1VS and spread the dividends around! Further to this, as it acts like a second Pricefloor, it’s also very possible that Floodmaker could grow bigger than Pricefloor, in a very quick fashion! 🔥🚀
The contract code has been verified on Tronscan, and is available for public audit / inspection. As with any code or contracts you interact with on any blockchain, you should perform your own research prior to activating or calling any functions or methods. The second upgrade, is a contract called “Adspace”. Simply put, this enables us to show our own kind of advertising on Function Island! Don’t worry — there’s no cookies, privacy-tracking or anything like that — these ads are purely text-and-link based messages, stored on the TRON blockchain!
Anyone can lease the Adspaces, using the specialised interface we’ve built into our website — it’s incredibly easy to use! Leasing the space for one day costs 2,000 TRX — and you can lease it for up to 20 days at a time. Once the time is up, we’ll automatically switch back to showing our own messages.
The proceeds which we collect from the Adspace usage will be directed in the following simple method: 80% of all proceeds to Function Island’s Chief of Marketing, 10% goes to the developer, and 10% goes to the Floodmaker. 🌊🏝
